Courtney: Not really sure…
Mike: but we do know.. we’re pretty cool..in our genius..us..us..nesss…so don’t hate our something. something dark side. something something is complete. I’m like an idealist who enjoys eating scallops for breakfast and eating high noon tea with the beach.
Courtney: I suppose we should start at the beginning, eh? I’ve got time. So, it all started back in 2001, seventh grade at Calvary Christian School. Courtney was the new kid and Mike had been there since elementary school. Mike was pretty much disliked by most of the class, so Courtney disliked him too. She was very easily persuaded back then. They went through the year getting on each others’ nerves. They sat next to each other in alphabetical order seating charts, so the tension was high. One memorable incident occurred in Standi’s history class, when Mike made a big pen mark on Courtney’s pants, and she was very pissed off, to say the least. Mike has revealed in present day that he actually wanted to be Courtney’s friend way back then, but he decided to not like her because she didn’t like him. They went about in this general way until about tenth grade when they began to tolerate each other. Then came eleventh grade. Courtney’s best friend Shawna left Calvary that year to go to public school. Courtney, being a couple-of-close-friends kind of person, needed a new group to which to belong. That’s when she found Ruth, Adam, Andrew, and none other than Mike. These five became quite a little posse, with random others floating in occassionally, like Madi and Stephanie. Round Table became their headquarters, sack lunches and all. Ruth and Courtney considered each other best friends, and Mike had been best friends with the Twins (Adam and Andrew) since second grade. The year was fantastic. Mike and Courtney no longer hated each other by the end, in fact, they became quite close. Then everything changed. Courtney graduated (a year early) and moved to Canada. She was devastated to leave her friends, as were they, especially Mike and Ruth. Fast forward through the year of being apart- Courtney came back from Canada and began hanging out with Mike constantly. The more time they spent together, the tighter their bond grew. Now, almost a year later, they consider each other adoptive siblings. This blog is their domain. K, I’m done writing in third person now. Weirdousness.
